Precious Life Missions Home - Russian Apostolate - Homilies by Father Cummings - Children's Sacrament Book - Ordering & Donations - Links - Contact
Our
Lady told us, by way of the little shepherd children of Fatima, that peace
would come to the world through the conversion of Russia. Yet of all the
mission fields in the world it is sad to see how little support the Church
in Russia receives. Even the Vatican is unable to help very much as relations
are so delicate between the Roman Church and the Orthodox. Yet one can
see why it is that Mary has such a special concern for Russia. The Church
and the people of Russia have suffered so much in the seventy years of
Communism and the young there know so little of the love and mercy of
God which would bring them such consolation and strength to face the many,
many difficulties of living in a former communist country. The very few
priests there are truly heroic, not to mention so many of the parishioners
who travel huge distances in the freezing cold, often on rickety, unheated
busses to attend Mass. Even though Communism has come to an end and the
Church is finally able to continue the work of saving souls without fear
of imprisonment or death at the hands of the Soviets, the Church there
is still suffering in many ways. |

If you are able to make a donation for this work, you will receive a copy of both these small books in English, which we pray will be a blessing for your own family as well. The children's book, The Little Butterfly who Loved Jesus, would make a great first communion gift for your children or grandchildren and you are sure to love Fr. Cumming's homilies, Making God the Joy of Our Soul, as they have already touched many souls with their fervor and love for Christ! Please
read more about these books on this website. |
